I absolutely loved both leads in this book and the relationship that developed between them. I really admired the female lead’s drive, and also the kids were adorable. This book was definitely a slow burn, forced proximity, single parent, and light enemies to lovers, and I loved the amount of time we got with the two just talking and doing mundane tasks with each other and the kids. However it was a bit insta-lovey for me on the male lead’s end, and I didn’t like the ending. It felt a bit forced and the resolution didn’t work for me. 👥👯‍♀️🫅🏻👸🏼📈⚖️🌧

I have been waiting for West’s story for ages and it didn’t disappoint! I loved him and Phoebe. I felt like their relationship grew really realistically and I loved how he was with her children.

The Ravenel series has been an emotional ride and this one is no less the case: Sophie is a widow with two children who falls for West who was her late husband’s childhood bully. There are some scenes where I came close to throwing this book out the window, but in a fantastic way.

West is an awesome hero he has a similar sense of humor and character traits to that of Phoebe's father, Sebastian, who is my favorite romantic hero of all time.
