I listened to this on audio and there is definitely a reason it is the audi winner for 2020. The reader was immensely talented

This is my second ever historical romance and first Lisa Kleypas book. I know that Lisa Kleypas is a very popular author in this genre and wow she truly has lived up to the wonderful things I’ve heard about her. Also I’m obsessed with historical so I will be reading more of this genre and more Lisa Kleypas.

I really enjoyed our main character Phoebe. She was everything that I want in a heroine. West Ravenel our damaged hero I adored him. I also loved the moments he had with her children and the development he went through.

Alright, this one is tied with Marrying Winterborne as my favorite in the series now. I knew I would love West’s story but damn, Lisa hit this one out of the park.

This is certainly not my kind of books (historical romance?) and I haven't even read the other books in either of these series (seems all stories are connected in a way). But then I saw it recommended in a list somewhere here on GR as an 'enemies to lovers' (which is one of my fav tropes) and I couldn't resist! Perfect to take my mind off things during hard days.

While historical fiction is not my fave, this book was surprisingly good! I read it while cooking, sleeping and just whenever I could - that's why I finished it so quick - and I really enjoyed it! It was sweet, I loved seeing Phoebe with the kids (she's a great mom) and for a change, it was the guy (West) who wasn't sure about the romance, really refreshing and not as unhealthy as other modern romances can be (although I still enjoy those
