DNF @~33%: the themes are serious, but the approach to them is to too dismissive and superficial and the whole story is treated as a flimsy backdrop to a bunch of explicit sex scenes, none of which make much sense for the narrative. While the idea of good communication in the bedroom is great and worth normalizing, the romantic plotline doesn't have much hope when bedroom subjects are the only ones where any communication happens and the whole thing is hinged on unhinged insta-lust (pun intended).
Not for me.

I love disability rep and candid discussions of kink. There’s not very much plot in this book, so the drama and problems feel so unserious. Great option if you’re looking for something where the characters are insta-horny for each other.
I kinda hate when there’s a plot point of “ok let’s not have sex, let’s not kiss, no dating” and then they IMMEDIATELY break the deal. Like have SOME kind of discipline?! I get that this was a short book but I feel like they could’ve drawn it out a bit.
I also felt like the big conflict of the story kinda came way too late in the book but at the same time it was kind of perfect for how the book was set up.

You know that scene in OITNB where a disabled juvie girl visiting the prison for a scared straight-adjacent program said she could do anything with her disability, including join a gang? This is that but with bad smut.

I loved the rep in this book, and it was overall, a fun read.
8.43/10 0r 4.5/5 and 4.75/5 where able
Characters:9
The characters in this book were so much fun. They were a great found family with the main friend group. I loved Frankie, and what she did to help other people. I really loved the main friend group of Annie, Mai, Frankie, and Flo.
Atmosphere-8
I liked the atmosphere in this one. I felt like we got to explore the town the story was set in. I just wish we could have seen more of the town where the characters lived.
Writing-9
I liked the writing in this. I felt the writing style and duel pov really worked well for the story.
Plot-8
This plot had some highs and lows for me. I enjoyed the diversity in the characters, and I liked the main story. I thought the pacing of this was slow at times. I felt like there was some drama, and we got to see Jay grow as a character.
Intrigue-8
I was mostly interested in this story. I felt like I was waiting for Frankie and Jay to get together. Personally, I wanted to get to the romance sooner.
Logic-8
I could see the logic in this for the most part.
Enojyment-8
This was a fun read. I loved the diversity, and the romance was cute.

✨3.75✨
That's it. Period.
