A super-sexy novel with great accessibility representation. I picked up this book because I have not read a lot of romance with an MC using a mobility device. I have read other romance and erotica with rope play, so I had a certain expectation, and the first half of the book delivered!

However, the second half of the book loses some of the spice and turns more into a traditional romance novel with sex as the background to the emotional storytelling.

I will tell you I came to this novel for the kink and wished for more of it throughout.

I am absolutely excited to stick with this series and read the next novel.

This is a nice start.

This was quick and cute! The accessibility elements felt well done and I really liked all the podcast stuff. The rope stuff was really interesting and overall I enjoyed this. This had a lot going for it but it was too short for me I just wanted more of them as individuals or more time

The guy used “you go girl”  “sorry not sorry” and AF within 2 pages. Just not vibing

This was a really sweet story that had cute, funny, and serious moments. I loved the hero in this story as he will do just about anything to get the girls attention.

I really liked the two characters in this book, Frankie and Jay. They had great chemistry and really seemed like a good couple.

I did struggle a bit with the insta-love in this book. Jay went from saying he didn't "do relationships" to being in one so quickly. I think there could have been more exploration of the why's before he just agreed to it.

Both characters were likeable, both as a couple and individually. I loved the scene where Jay's house wasn't accessible and Frankie had to go to the bathroom. It was so real, and I loved how Jay started taking down walls almost immediately.

I liked Frankie's friendship groups. These all seem to be badass women, who initially bonded over the struggles with being disabled in this abelist world. They are sassy and not afraid to tell Frankie how it is.

The best part of this book was the disability rep. especially around sex and intimate relationships. Conversations about limits may feel uncomfortable for some, but Evie Mitchell did an awesome job of talking through those opening and honestly with her characters. Oftentimes, when disability (especially physical disabilities) is represented in romance it can be seen as burdensome, but the author did a great job of making it just exist as part of life and making Frankie a sexy character.

This is my first Evie Mitchell book, but I do plan to check out more in the future!

THIS BOOK *heart eyes*.
Frankie is a sexologist and the creator of the All Access podcast. When I listen right into Frankie about rope play she reaches out to a local top and educator to help her learn… the ropes.
As Frankie knowledge grows their relationship grows, but Frankie is up for a big award that may take her away.

I loved this book, i sent it to some of my kinkier friends who i know would appreciate kink being portrayed in such a respectful way.
I also sent it to one or two ablest friends because any time I can shove something in their face that says theyre dicks, I will.

idk this book just is not for me. i love the concert of it and i was super excited to read a book with disability rep and romance because they are not collin but this one was just.....idk

firstly this book feels like it came out in love 2014. it is PEAK millenialism. it is just sooooo cringey, and not in a feel-good-cozy-cheesy-cringe, but in a this this-is-hurting-me kind of cringe. as in we used the word 'snatch' multiple times(also during sex) and i physically wanted to vomit each time

You’re telling me this small town has THREE big time, award winning podcasts?

You’re telling me that a woman’s most popular episode, in her critically acclaimed podcast, is the one where she mocks a man she groomed & cheated on? And everyone finds this funny? Why is her big insult that he has “commitment issues” when he was literally about to propose to her?

You’re telling me that NO ONE double checked the use of the word fuck boy? It was not ONCE used correctly.

I listened to the audiobook & it was so hard to take an award seriously when it’s pronounced “potty.” She won a potty! How prestigious.

Knot My Type was an enjoyable read with sympathetic leads and many cute moments. I would say Frankie was my favourite character, and I liked
Spoilerthat she challenged Mackenzie but also that her comments were well received.
There were some copyediting issues in the opening chapters that pulled me out, and the development of the relationship was very fast, but overall I liked the book.

This was all kinds of happy reading for me! I loved loved loved the representation. Frankie and Jay were adorable. The friends were supportive and real (and I can’t wait for their stories). And I want my own yard dinosaurs now.

I did very much hate the Mackenzie character - she felt villainous for the sake of pushing that third act breakup with no other real motivation. The rest of this book though? I can’t say enough about how much I loved it!
