I was not expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did. Even though I didn’t know where I was half the time I really enjoyed this story! Full of twists, the writing tricked you into thinking different things were happening in the plot, and that ending was amazing!! I feel like some aspects of the plot could have been explained/wrapped up a bit better, but other than that it was a very enjoyable read.

I was enjoying this book until a big plot twist about halfway through, then I lost interest. Skimmed through the rest. Ridiculous stuff.

4+ stars! Believe Me when I say this is a great thriller! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought the premise was superbly original!

Claire is a British actress living in NYC who has a slightly odd job working for a lawyer to help catch cheating husbands with the help of a hidden camera in her purse. One night, she is hired to hit on a woman's husband, and mere hours later, the woman is found brutally slain in her hotel room, and Claire is a prime suspect. Did she kill Stella? Or as an actress and student of the Stanislavski method, is she the perfect person to help the detectives catch the real killer? This story was super fast-paced and gripping and I could not put it down!

Huge thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

It'll make your head spin! Right from the start you wonder where does acting begin and when, if ever, does it end. This has to be the thriller with the most twists that I've ever read.

I'm not sure how I feel about this read.
I enjoyed how fast paced it was and I really enjoyed the concept of it. It was so different to books I usually read.
I was hooked to this book in the first half. I loved the whole concept of this book of Claire working undercover to try and lure Patrick into confessing to his wife's murder. I loved loved loved the twist that happened around half way in. Something I wasn't expecting at all.
But after halfway I found it was becoming very dry and dull. With many of the chapters being about the play that Patrick was leading. I didn't find these sections interesting at all and started to lose interest after this.
The ending was great though. Again, I did not expect what happened. I thought that it was just going to be unsatisfying and leaving me with many questions but by the end of the book the majority of my questions were answered and I was happy with the outcome. I just found certain parts in the last half really dull to read.

يه داستان با تم ادبيات،روانشناسي و پليسي جنايي بود.توصيفات ادبيشو با اينكه زياد بود دوس داشتم و يه گريزي به زندگي شاعر فرانسوي بودلر داشته بود

A British drama student, in New York without a green card, Claire takes the only job she can get: working for a firm of divorce lawyers, posing as an easy pick-up in hotel bars to entrap straying husbands.

When one of her targets becomes the subject of a murder investigation, the police ask Claire to use her acting skills to help lure their suspect into a confession. But right from the start, she has doubts about the part she's being asked to play. Is Patrick Fogler really a killer . . . Or the only decent husband she's ever met? And is there more to this set-up than she's being told?

And that's when Claire realises she's playing the deadliest role of her life .

I admit I had no idea what was going on in this book! That only made me want to read it more. You think you finally know whats going on and something happens to make you realise you were way off. The book is set in 3 parts and each one has its own number of twists and surprises.
It is definitely a book that keeps you guessing.

Thank you to net galley, the publisher, and Author for this copy of Believe me.

A extremely twisty tail of Claire a struggling actress living in New York City. She lands a job acting as a decoy to catch cheating souses, when she gets caught up in a murder investigation.

It was so dark and twisty! I found myself asking is this really happening? I enjoyed the first half more the second (were I felt things started to get a little confusing for me). I will say this book was unpredictable, and that what I love about a good thriller. I thought none of characters felt relatable, but I felt like that was by design to not know who's good or bad or involved.
