Before the zombie apocalypse really begins, it's a bit slow. But once it starts it's pretty tense and thrilling and fun read.

This was fun! And I say that despite the fact that it was, very much, a story about real zombies and there are real losses, and the terror conveyed feels real, but -
It was also told from the POV of a teenage girl, who before *and* during a zombie outbreak is struggling with real teenage life issues; a teenage girl who is in the middle of fangirling in a convention about zombies when zombies happen, and who has a knack for gallows humour. So yeah, it's aimed at a younger audience, but it's also a fun, quick read that balances horror with the kind of humour born of desperation, AND
female badassery! The title isn't lying; girls really do save the world in this one.

I had a really fantastic time reading this zombie book, set at a zombie con, and the girls who deal with it! Such a great read!

This book was surprisingly good! It definitely gave more Shaun of the Dead vibes instead of serious zombie apocalypse vibes, and it was a fun time. It was super fast paced and a very quick and easy read.
