I'm not going to spend a lot of time on these reviews for the Harry Potter books since I am sure there is not much I could say that hasn't been said. I decided to listen to the entirety of this series on audio, which was a fantastic decision. The narrator is Jim Dale, and he did such an excellent job bringing the world of Harry Potter along with every single one of the characters to life. Rowling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1660804743l/77522._SX50_.jpg|2809203] is a massive book, and the audio ends up being longer still at almost 26.5 hours. That didn't faze me though and this had one of my favorite endings of all the books in the series.

Once I started listening to these books, I couldn't stop, and I ended up listening to all 7 of them in about a week. I really love the way J.K. Rowling wrote these fantastical tales and the world she created is so full of magic that I never wanted to leave it. Professor Umbridge is one of the highlights of this book although not so much in a good way, and there are some really crazy things that end up happening and some of them sent me reeling. This was also one of the books in the series that made me cry which didn't start to happen until I got towards the end of it {the series} - go figure. This is an absolutely wonderful series if you are looking for a bit of magic in your life and you want to completely lose yourself in a world like no other. Just be prepared to most likely shed a few tears!

So easy to listen to, Stephen Fry is epic at storytelling! This book was really intense but didn’t quite have the oomph the others had imo. Don’t get me wrong it was amazing! Bloody Sirius Black!!

Loved this book as much as PoA. I can definitely see why Harry is so angry in this book. I loved how it was a bit slower at some points to draw out certain aspects of the book. So many great parts such as Ron being on the quidditch team, the tension between McGonagall and Umbridge, Mrs.Weasly's boggart that she sees, the suspense when the six of them try to fly to London, and of course, the whole ending at the department of mysteries.

This book feels like a warm hug while also being surrounded by the meme where everything is on fire and the people around you are insisting that "everything is fine". I have less memory of this book than the previous ones, as I think I am entering the HP territory where I just read the book once before. Umbridge SUCKS but the sad reality is don't we all know someone like her in power. This book explores grief in a more complex way than book #4. Grief's shadow comes in and out of view in the early parts of this book. Cho's want to talk about her feelings, while at the same time Harry refuses to completely confront his. The end of the book is where Harry gets a lot of support for his time of grief and mourning. Everyone gives him a different approach --whether its ignoring what happened, connecting on losing a close family member with Luna, or going through memories of the deceased with Hagrid. I think that makes this book extra precious for people that are going through a period of grief. 
I also enjoyed watching Harry prove himself as a mentor to those around him. The role of his friends cannot be understated. What would Harry be without his friends/the adults that love him. Dead, that's what he would be tbh.

I feel like this is the first book where you REALLY get to feel Harry’s emotions and watch him grow into his personality. It feels like you’re with him, growing into this new self confidence and realization. It’s so rewarding and satisfying when he and his friends win..but also sometimes really sad at times when the empathy hits you like a bus..

Anyways the seamless transitions in this book from funny bickering/drama to plot heavy lore was so fun
