Loved the first foray into this world! I'm a huge fan of paper so having a paper-based magic system was so fun and exhilarating. Although there were some dark moments there were times this felt a bit more middle reader than YA. I hope some characters get more back story and/or grow more in future installments of this series. I'm very intrigued so far!
