I knew I was going to like this book when in only chapter 2 the main characters (Gen and Evan) were about to have sex at Gen's mom's funeral... like ok we really are getting right into things!! I wanted to read something that was heavy on the romance & this did just that. It was full of so much angst, push-pull, second chances, explosive chemistry, and spiceeeeeee.

The characters are very immature & do not act rationally at times, but that doesn't bother me. I love when characters own that they are flawed & are desperate to be better. I also appreciated that the big drama in the book wasn't the couple being dram, it was an outside factor.

Dual-Pov (yes pls), second-chance romance, small town romance, and love triangles.

Smut chapters were 13, 14, 23, and 24... but the whole book is honestly spicy, these two have foul mouths.

I was actually fully prepared to give this book a 3 and say it wasn’t for me but then I got to the end. I knew I disliked this book when I found the characters unlikable in every way.

I realized I hated this book when the FMC proposed to the MMC. I pray this type of love never finds me.
