This book was exactly what I expect from Elle Kennedy: an absolute joy! 𤊠Evan and Gen had me rooting for them all the way through!

Eeek i wanted to like it more...lets hope the last book is worth it.
Thank you Netgalley and St. Martinâs Press for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!
I had originally received Good Girl Complex as an ARC as well and enjoyed it! I ended up seeing Bad Girl Reputation on Netgalley and knew I would have liked to have it just to read it! The characters in this book are a hot mess but I really loved seeing the character development and some growing relationships with side characters as well.
The steam in this book was also good too bahaha.
3.75 rounded up to 4!

2.5/5âď¸ This wasnât bad, I just didnât care about the characters. They were unlikeable in my opinion, and I just feel like this was a very forgettable book. That being said the spice was pretty good, and the ending was good!

my second elle kennedy book and i didn't like it... shocker!
------------------------------
so this book follow a girl, genevieve, that comes back to her hometown after her mom dies. she left town abruptly a year ago and her ex, evan, is excited to see her. she is a different person and doesn't know how evan fits in to the new her and evan is determined to win her back. another best friends to lovers (kind of).
i think why i didn't like this book is because i just found the tropes in it, the dual POVs, a bit... annoying. this book was a reason im not a huge fan of books with love interests being dual POVs because there is no suspense. i feel like it's more fun when we don't know what the other love interest is thinking at all times but knowing what they are both thinking... feels like miscommunication more than anything like PLEASE just talk to each other.
i did enjoy cops being seen as terrible in this. that deputy just harassing genevieve wasn't unrealistic at all and sucked all the way around with the position of power he was in compared to her.
