β This book gave me all the feels in the world,I was smiling like an idiot and laughing like someone just told me the funniest joke ever,I was giggling like I was the one falling in love and I was so content when the characters finally said βI love youβ as if I made that happened.
β Hugo and Torin had me invested in their love. The way Hugo took care of Torin was so sweet, the way he plans things by considering how it will make Torin feel, the way he holds Torin and assures him of his love. All through the book you can see and feel that he cares with everything he does.Torin also made sure Hugo never doubted himself,he let Hugo be himself with him and that was one of the best things he could have ever done for him.
β I love the cuddles, the hugs and blushing in the book. The hugs and cuddles showed and portrayed intimacy in a beautiful and sweet way.I love the discussion the characters had about sexuality. That was written so well and explained so thoroughly. The pining and slow burn was just right.

I was initially hooked, but there were things about the story that just started to bug me. Then it got really choppy. No desire to finish this one.

Normally I enjoy this author, but I couldnβt get behind this book. Iβm all for gay/bi-awakening happening in a story (itβs even one of my favorite tropes) but this one felt misogynistic

God, I canβt stand Hugoβs friend groupβor should I say Noah in particular. The way heβs so quick to shut Hugo down was honestly alarming. Everyone wanted Hugo to watch his words, but what about Noah? Should he even be allowed to speak? I was so relieved Hugo didnβt go to Noah for that discussion and went to Arty instead.
And that whole drama at 91% of the book? Completely unnecessary. Out of all the possible conflicts, the author went with *that*? It felt so misplaced.
That said, I absolutely adored Hugo and Torin. Their intimacy, their text exchanges, the way they were so open about their feelings, their dates, and how they just dove into the relationshipβall of it was beautiful. Have I mentioned how much I love them? The way they cuddled, how they fit so perfectly together, and how their relationship progressed so naturallyβfrom boyfriends to being in loveβit was everything. Honestly, even if they hadnβt had sex, Iβd still be happy because their connection was just that strong.
I canβt say I didnβt get bored at times, though. Mostly because I was told *256 times* that Hugo has a huge dick and canβt wear underwear. Like, okay, I get itβbut please, spare me! ππ

Itβs like the author realized that the book was boring and was like βmaybe if I throw in a car crash at the end?β I almost DNFed it. I donβt know if Iβve just read too many MM hockey romances at this point, but this series seems to be getting worse.
