I went into this not knowing anything about the story, but I mistakenly believed it to be m/m! I kept reading hoping to be drawn in to the story but I just didn't feel it. 
Making the brown skinned girl aggressive and the white skinned boy all delicate made me feel a certain way too.

Although this book started off a bit slow for me I quite enjoy the world Pacat hs created, and the ending of this book has me very excited for book two!
