A little too much sex and kind of disgusting scenes (insects specifically), but otherwise a very nice novel, with an intriguing way to tell the story and getting to know the characters (listening and transcribing to others’ conversations). Every character is very well detailed and it’s easy to follow who’s who. The big reveal at the end made everything make sense.

I enjoyed the different elements in this book—there’s a hint of romance as we read about BS and Greta falling for each other, as well as the  the thrill of an ongoing affair in a small town. Ive never been to Hudson/known the stereotypes of the area until reading this book but, I’m interested to know if the author is exaggerating the town’s atmosphere and average resident, or if it’s pretty true-to-form.
