I didn’t even finish it. I tried. What horrible characters
300 pages of “ I miss Zeke” who is an ass. And not the type of ass we all love from a bad boy character. Just an annoying one.
The main heroine character, just whinny.

TITLE: A Kingdom of Flame and Fury
GENRE: Dark Fantasy Romance
AUTHOR: Whitney Dean
TROPE: Love Triangle, Friends to Lovers, Insta-Love/Lust
TYPE: Series (The Four Kingdoms Book 1)
POV: Dual POV
MY RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / 5
The Four Kingdoms series is off to a strong start with A Kingdom of Flame & Fury. Queen Raven is a strong female main character who secretly possesses dark magic and inherited the Kingdom of Seolia at a young age when the former King passed with no blood heirs. I enjoyed the love triangle aspect, which added some angst and spice to the storyline. I wanted to vent my frustration at Raven, Cade & Zeke at different times, but that shows I was fully engaged in the storyline.
I read through A Kingdom of Flame and Fury quickly and was riveted until the end. I can't wait to see how the story and these characters continue to evolve when A Kingdom of Frost and Fear comes out Dec 2022.

The insta love felt cringey, then Zeke's "plan" to make her hate him?! Like why. Also the plot with Mira...the author tried really hard to make the fated mates language romantic but it just didn't work.
Writing was too juvenile for me.
