So much sexual tension in this book, I love the gays. 3.5 stars.

i don't even know what to fucking say, man

edit after i collected myself:
This book is just fun! And fun! And then some more fun! It hit literally every single one of my romance kinks: enemies to lovers, secret relationship, forbidden romance,.. .

It has so much representation. There’s a bisexual girl openly talking about finding girls hot and I just! Love! Her! .

Another thing I loved: the characters are in their 20’s! There’s nothing wrong with ya books but I feel like there’s not enough books like these where the characters are in their 20’s 🙈 it’s THE age where you are trying to find yourself and trying to figure out where to go with your life and that’s what’s happening in this book too. .

And every single chapter was just perfect. It wasn’t boring for one second and there were a couple super *epic* scenes. When I was done I was crying like a baby. Amazing characters, (especially the women!!), great writing, the perfect amount of angst and humor and emotions. My favorite contemporary standalone for sure!

Me hubiese gustado que me dijeran qué onda Nora con June porque that's definitely not straight at all y si aceptarían un love triangle con Pez 'cause he's asking for it. Le doy 4,5 estrellitas.

Spoiler"But the first time I saw you. Rio. I took that down to the gardens. I pressed it into the leaves of a silver maple and recited it to the Waterloo Vase. It didn't fit in any rooms."

"I am your mother. I was your mother before I was ever the president, and I'll be your mother long after, to the day they put me in the ground and beyond this earth. You are my child."

"They're my children. And I swear on my life, and Arthur's, I will take you off the throne before I will let them feel the things you made me feel."

I AM IN TEARS. TEARS OF JOY. MY HEART IS SO FULL OF LOVE I HAVE NO PROPER WORDS TO EXPRESS HOW HAPPY THIS BOOK MADE ME. THANK YOU CASEY MCQUISTON

I felt like this story was just way too long and that there was no real stake in their relationship. It's good if you enjoy very uncomplicated happily ever afters, but for me it lacked depth. I am noticing a theme with the authors other books as well.

Devoured in a week, finally made to read it by Laura’s devastating review of the film, which was indeed shocking

One of the best rom com’s I’ve read! It was sweet and sexy and light. And bc the stakes were so high for the characters it made you want to root for them even more.

Alex, charismatic and ambitious son of the current President of the United States, has always been aware of Prince Henry, handsome and reserved British Royal. After a a very public clash, they are thrown together by their PR teams to avoid a media scandal. When their faux friendship quickly develops into something very real, a flirtation with international consequences, it sets Alex on a journey of self discovery and Henry on one of self love. If their ruse is revealed, they may just change the face and course of their respective nations for better or worse.

This book is a safe space. It’s wholesome and sexy and above all, it’s making a statement. It’s a fairy tale that feels like it is at the tip of our fingers, a world we could have in our grasp. But at it’s core, it’s a love story: pure, chaotic, irresistible love.

I think I knew I would love it but somehow it still exceeded expectations. I loved how the main characters supported one another, in small and private ways. Their banter lit up the page without masking their complexities. I think everyone who reads this could find something to love.
