What a delightful book, reminded me of a grown up version of the picture book King & King. As my friend Kate Wheeler said, this is a fun fantasy and (liberal) political wish fulfillment. This could have been trite had it been a prince and an American girl, but the added social and geopolitical implications of a same-sex romance gave it added depths.
