I loved the characters and the whole plot. I wasn't expecting this book to be so sad to be honest.
I did feel like the end was a bit rushed and wish it wrapped up a little more nicely but still enjoyed it!

Entertaining like a shitty low-budget romance movie you end up watching on the couch with your mom on a summer day. However, I need women to stop referring to men as predators and to themselves as prey when its completely unwarranted.

A little bookclub read that got me out of the mini reading slump i’m right now. I really liked the premise and the way the main character dealt with grief (realistic, and emotional) and the fact that it recognises the everyday sadness our world has. I loved the male mc, he was cute, smart and well rounded. It lost some points for me at the end, felt a bit anticlimactic and kinda wrong if it makes sense. It was so good, so only at that part did it let me down. Overall a cozy beach read!

That Emily sure does love a slowwwww burn, huh?

A nice palette cleansing after a heavy read. As the title implies, it’s a comfy, easy read.

It is about as predictable as they come but I have to admit one of the plot points at the end touched something deep in me.

I think the only reason I give it a 3, it's cause there's some good commentary of the book industry and double standards for women writers. But for a romance book it does take quite a dark turn into heavy topics, that are not always addressed in a respectful way...

My first Emily Henry read. Definitely not what I expected, took me a bit of time to get into but I think that’s why I enjoyed it. It ended up being deeper than I initially thought.

This is the poster child for the phrase don’t judge a book by its cover. This book is weighty and fairly depressing. I do hope January and Gus find peace and healing for all they’ve been through.
