Ah, to be in high school again…The thriller aspect of this story was great. I liked that there were chapters of the characters who were about to be murdered. I didn’t really care for the romance and was interested more in the murder plot. The murderer was revealed towards the middle of the story and I wished it happened a little bit later. This was a fun fast pace read.

I dont think Perkins is for me. Between this and the other book of hers I DNFed I just dont get along with her tempo, build up, lack of build up, reveals and twists. The ending also felt extremely rushed and so many lose threads were just up in the air. You know who probably survived, but beyond that there were a lot of build up that just went no where.

I really enjoy Stephanie Perkins as a YA romance author.

But I really hated this. Didn't give a shit about the characters, hated the whole romance sub-plot that was actually really just the main plot, and the killer's motive was beyond stupid. By the end I wish everyone had died, including myself a touch.

Please go back to strictly romance, Stephanie. I don't think horror is your jam.
