1 star ⭐️ i fear…..idk what i expected but it wasn’t this. she just came off across as dumb and literally couldn’t get past anything besides the fact that the guy who is basically terrorizing her is hot. like girl he’s being insane pls get a grip

This was quite a slow start and took me a while to get fully invested in the characters and the plot but when I did, wow I loved it. I really like the idea of reincarnated soulmates and forgotten memories plus the magic is also really original and unique which comes with a "disability" for some witches yet Selene is is continuously a vivacious strong female lead. Also enemies to lovers with spice, do I need to say anymore? I can't wait to read the next instalment I'm desperate to find out what happens next.

This is one of those books that have been on my kindle for as long as I can remember but I just never picked up.
I’m glad I finally decided to dive into this world.
What I didn’t know going in was that this is kind of a paranormal ? Read. Set in our world but the witches stay hidden which made getting into this super easy as there wasn’t too much stuff to learn.
What you’ll get is
- familiars
- a bit of an unhinged mmc
- witch fmc who’s kind of a bad ass with magic !
- a school / academy type setting
- murder mystery backstory
There’s a lot of things we don’t know throughout this book and it kept me very invested I finished this within 24 hours.

Better than I was anticipating! I immediately bought the next book!

“I have been inside you more times than there are stars to count. I am no more a stranger to you than your own skin is.”

i just want to start this kinda review by saying i absolutely devoured this..

memnon and selene are such a funny pair and their chemistry had me kicking my feet and giggling the whole time. even selene’s familiar had me cackling numerous times. i honestly didn’t expect this book to be as funny as it was but i found myself laughing more than not.

i could probably write a drawn out detailed review but i genuinely just want to tell everyone to give it a try. (shit even if you aren’t a paranormal or fantasy person) this book was filled with tons of fun, laughter, magic and a hot ass ancient man with a filthy mouth.. what else is there to want?

Alright, im not going to say that this book wasn't interesting or that it didn't get my attention because i finished it quickly and it was a super DUPER easy read. It just wasn't it for me though. It was lacking the world building a fantasy book needs and the romance that this book promised really wasn't there. Memnon or whatever his name is was literally abusive and needs to grovel in the next book because like idc if ur soulmates u don't force them to do something, you know what i mean? Anyways its worth the read if ur in a slump or want some interesting but def not my fav.

Memnon has been CRAZY the last few chapters. I usually tolerate crazy but that was crazIER. I would also like to see more emotional moments like when she was asking questions about Memnon's history or after Cara was saved.

In terms of writing, I felt it was juvenile at times, especially for Memnon's dialogues which supposedly comes from someone who is two thousand years old. Aside from that, it was alright.

P.S. Nero is such a cat.
