I used the audiobook which I don’t normally do audiobooks but I really enjoyed it. I think I would’ve gotten more out of it by reading a physical paper. A lot of the conceptual aspects of intersectionality and environmental justice I was already familiar with, however this is a great deep dive. While I knew on a broad level this book gave concrete evidence and stories to solidify why environmentalists must be just. I think this is a must read for anyone in the environmental sphere as there are too many ignoring the important voices of those most impacted. If you are not familiar with intersectionality or justice in environmentalism or you are familiar with intersectionality but not the environment- you ought to read this!!

This book succeeds in what it sets out to do. Ultimately, I dont think that's enough.

Good introduction to the topic . Found the definitions and discussion group questions to be immensely helpful.  Loved the call back to Kimberlé Crenshaw's definition of intersectional. I will definitely be doing my own further research.

Happy Earth Day ❤️

Essential for everyone interested in intersectional activism.

This book is a very important piece of work that is very prescient to our current ecological crisis. Highly recommend

I picked this book up at an event I attended on campus mainly because it was free…BUT I am so glad I did cause it was such a treat to read. As a social work student, I had heard about intersectionality and the importance of it. But, I never thought it could relate to something like environmentalism. Silly me…how could I be so wrong? This book was highly educational and taught me how to expand my thinking and analyze things a bit more critically. Such a good one!
