My only complaint is that it was too short. It was such a fascinating introduction to this topic and I’m definitely going to learn more

"Unfortunately, as with other animals, some humans are endangered and facing a multitude of social and environmental injustices that impact their ability to not only survive but to thrive in liberation and joy. Why, then, are conservation efforts not extended to the protection of endangered humans and their human rights?"
Wrapped up in a tidy textbook format, The Intersectional Environmentalist is a concise and accessible primer on the movement. Outlining the feminist and environmental justice roots, to recognizing and unpacking privileges, and exploring the realities of BIPOC communities.
I was most impressed with the refelctive questions at the end of each chapter and the tool kit with tons of Q&A's with global environmentals and curated resources of media spanning podcasts, video, and books. The Intersectional Environmentist is a fantastic crash course that I would highly recommend for everyone.

„No matter how scared we become, we must be vigilant in our efforts around environmental protection. We can no langer afford to wait for other saviors. […] If not us, why? We can no longer ask the question of who.“

Although this book covers some challenging (and very important) topics, it was written in a hopeful and inspiring tone. I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook.
