I will leave off the star rating for this one, and just tell you what I thought.
The Audiobook narration was good for a nonfiction book. The author, from what I understand, narrated the book and while I usually am not a fan of that, she did pretty good.
The subject of this book is how environmental concerns impact black, indigenous and people of color more than white people. Coming from a public health background, this is nothing new to me and is in fact something I discuss in my intro to public health class that I teach when we get to the environmental health section. However, for those who may be unfamiliar with these concepts, this is a great entry level introduction into this world.
If you're looking for a higher level discussion, this is not the book for you, but if you are looking to dip your toes into anti-racism, intersectionality and environmental justice, then check this out.
This is a very short read so you'll be able to get through it quickly. As of 3/5/24, it's included as an Audiobook in Spotify premium.

As someone who I participated in environmental student groups in college, I wish I would have had this resource to expand my viewpoint and activism. Really great introduction to diversifying the environmental justice movement.
