Clásico genial, pensé que iba a ser más complicado de leer por el tipo de lenguaje que utiliza y las formas, pero es una aventura épica que tiene todo, amor, tradición, intrigas y dramas... Lo disfruté mucho y hay personajes que van creciendo en el libro para al final convertirse en todo lo que un antagonista de calidad.

This was great fun - much swashing of buckles, preening of moustaches, and drinking of immense quantities of wine. The good guys are honourable and brave (although by today's standards they're pretty despicable people) and the bad guys deceitful and cruel. It's all pretty one-dimensional stuff but it rips along at great pace, with some iconic set pieces and lots of chance encounters, near misses, mistaken identities and ingenious schemes thrown into the mix. The historical elements and famous names ground it somewhat in reality, but this is primarily adventure fiction through-and-through.
