This was... Okay. Honestly, I picked it up in the Romance section of my local bookstore, so was expecting it to contain more romance and less actual plot, but that's on me.
Regardless of that, the story and characters here were fine, but nothing especially stood out for me. (And it wasn't exactly the right book for the frame of mind I had when I picked it up...)

What an incredibly fun and charming story!
I listened to the audiobook on Libby and from the get go I was enthralled and charmed but the voice and the characters. Add the magic and the house and I was sold.
It was funny, entertaining, and event at times, nail biting. I loved the plot re: The Hopkins family line, and how it affected all of the characters. Such a smart woven way to write it.
This story felt fresh, and Kate writes endearing and lovable characters.
