4-4.5 ⭐️ Kept me gripped and great ending!

Loved the twists and turns of this book… although it was a little too predictable for my liking!

What an amazing read! Helen is about to have a baby and it is important to her that she does everything right, after a couple miscarriages. She doesn't drink alcohol or caffeine, she is careful and she signs up for a prenatal birthing class. That's when all her careful planning begins to fall apart. Her husband, Daniel and her brother Rory with his wife Serena, also expecting a baby near the same time, back out of attending the class with her. Alone and nervous Helen is approached by another expectant mother, Rachel. Helen begins to see Rachel all over the neighborhood, she can't seem to get away. With her anxiety about her baby and the added stress of home renovation going on at the same time, Helen can't take much more....then Rachel disappears and Helen is left wondering who she can trust. Husband, brothers, sister-in-law are all keeping secrets. Even when the mysteries all seem to be explained the final sentence of the story will shock you. That was a great final touch.

The writing in this was…not great. And I guessed every plot twist. Meh.

Did get a bit drawn out, but a nice suspenseful story

Unputdownable. Will likely reread to go over the details/pieces of the puzzle again.

So much was going on, it was well put together, and all came together at the end.

Drags on a bit and most characters are unlikeable but it’s fun to figure out how some seemingly unrated things come together. All men are bad.
