A pregnant woman meets a new friend in a prenatal class, and things get weird. All sorts of crazy things start happening and the main character manages to overlook that anything is wrong with any of the weird situations around her. I wasn't expecting a lot from this, but as the end neared and more and more conniving plots kept being revealed, I was just like, come on. Entertaining but I'm not eager to read this author again.
I write my book reviews like I’m talking to a friend, if you don’t like that scroll along.
WHAT THE HECKER!!!!! This book was great. Kinda slow in the start and really just left me hanging so many times. I was trying to figure things out all along and almost every time I was wrong. Once Rachel went missing things got crazy. I honestly think the first half of the book did a great job of teaching us about the other characters of the book especially Helen. I would love to see this as a movie haha. But truly when I read Daniel’s letter to Helen I believed it. Although I was thinking Serena had been drugging Helen but didn’t think she orchestrated the whole thing. Rachel + Serena was like crazy Vs. crazy.

It is always nice to have a book that you have been looking forward to not let you down. I took some time getting into this mystery, getting to know the characters and their various connections. I would say it grew on me in the best way. Suddenly I was racing through the back half and dying to have my questions answered. Even the twists I thought I knew from the start were so expertly handled, that I found myself loving the reveals. This book is very cinematic, and yet not overly done on the descriptions front. If I could give this book six stars, I would.

The main character’s last name is Trope and omg I couldn’t stop laughing because it was so apt. Interesting enough domestic mystery but full of clichés and very slow moving.
Enjoyed this thriller and it was entertaining to try and piece together the twists and turns.
The mystery in this book is powerful and leaves you wanting more. The ending reveals more questions, and I want to know where else this story could go and some of the small details never really get cleared up, which is why I went with 3 stars. Overall still a great, captivating read!
