a slow start but wowowww the second half of the book had me SHOOK. a page turner for sure
Easy to read story that you don’t want to put down. I picked it as a random library book that looked interesting and it was a great choice! I liked the characters and the mystery
A solid fast paced mystery! I don’t know why but I have not been too enthused with this genre lately!
4.5 stars: This book started kind of slow but then the twists started coming. Usually I can figure out the “who did it” well before the ending but this one had many layers to the plot.

3.5 rounded up to 4. Helen was annoying throughout the entire book but the ending was sweet.
You can have intelligent villains without dumbing down the victims. I hated Helen so very much. I haven’t encountered a female character this STUPID since 50 Shades. The writing is good, but the characters are all just cringeworthy and shallow.
I really enjoyed the intrigue. You think you know... and you do kinda know... but not really. Great character build up. One of the characters genuinely annoyed me and the imagery was well provided. It took me about 60 pages to really get into it. A great escape. By mid-book, I couldn't wait on what happened next.
