I love Will Wight's writing but this one didn't grab my attention as much as Cradle series or even Traveler's Gate.

The protagonist didn't really have to struggle to get his strength. He was a privileged dude in a privileged situation and got super lucky.

The universe and magic is pretty cool, just not for me. I'll read any more he writes because I enjoy his writing and hopefully I will like them more than this one.

Really good! This book definitely took me awhile to get into, but I really enjoyed it by the end. It's very different from Cradle and Travellers Gate, but just as good.

Also, the main character being in first person POV but everyone else being in third person was strange, but it worked.

I'm looking forward to the next one.
