I liked the Cradle series, but couldn't get into this. It's written in first person. It's non-stop action. I didn't develop any attachment to the characters. It feels a little juvenile. Maybe I'm just not the target market for this book.

This was a really fun combination of sci-fi and fantasy! Varic is a fascinating character. I am curious to know more about Horizon and what the ship is really up to. I still don’t know if I fully trust it.
Love Will Wight and loved the Cradle series, but this one sadly just didn't land with me

DNF. I am tempted to give 2 stars here, but I didn’t make it to the end. I had to bail about 70% through. Some parts were entertaining, but mostly I was just bored. The author basically made a magic book in space. But the characters were paper thin. And the plots were unimaginative. Basically rehashing science fiction stories but just changing lasers to magic.
This is the third time I’ve tried a Will Wight novel. Still haven’t found one that clicks with me. Time to move on to other authors.
