I loved this.
Throughout reading it I’d catch myself grinning like a goob, laughing out loud, even tearing up there at the end. I loved the inclusion of the characters. I loved the dual story line- yes there’s the romance part, but there’s also the multifaceted part of working through grief that I really appreciated.

I can honestly say that this book took me through so many emotions.  I was crying because of her feelings about Joelle are similar to my granny. I was on edge because I never knew what to expect from the Met tips. I was intrigued about each of the people from her past and how they would work into her life present day.  I also felt like this books as relatable as I’m one to up and leave a job if it doesn’t serve me.  The title of this book definitely gave more than what I was expecting and I’m very pleased that I decided to go against the Tiktok grain and pick something up I haven’t seen many people talk about.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I was expecting another romantic comedy, but it's actually a romance with a bit of a tech/fantasy element. An app mysteriously appears on Cori's phone and tells her it will help her find her soulmate and that the good news is she's met him before. Still reeling from the death of her best friend and new to Chicago, Cori decides to take a chance.

It's a fun story with great friendships. I liked how the meetings with each match went. I loved that this journey for love was part of her journey for finding herself and working through her grief rather than overshadowing them.

I'm completely invested in this friend group and am thrilled the story will continue. I've already preordered the second book.
