Another good one. One thing I didnt really like is her reference back to her best friend. At some points I thought her dead best friend was her lover and not just a friend.

Over all I love the story and how to put everything together. It was totally relatable.

Finally a book about a single person with no children going through every day life things.

Loved it

This was a really cute, really quick read. I feel like it would make the absolute cutest rom-com movie!! I could picture just the songs and the scenery and the actors that could be in this movie. Definitely recommend to any person in search of a cute lighthearted romance, that was realistic and not to unbelievable about how the characters ended up together. Except for the app that supposedly her dead best friend sent her from another plane lol.

What I Liked:
  • FANTASTIC debut novel!
  • Awesome representation - queer (specifically bisexuality and nonbinary), POC, deaf, etc. And it was all done tactfully.
Cory learning sign language to be able to talk to Lito in his preferred language!? Swoon.
None of these traits were the character's ONLY trait, they were just a part of who they were.
  • Characters were so well rounded and so fleshed out! I really felt like we got to know each one of them.
  • There BETTER be a second book after that cliffhanger!!!!
  • LOVED how Joelle was included throughout.

What I Didn't Like/Wanted More Of:
  • Obviously, the whole premise of the app left lots of unanswered questions, even with the ending "explained".

Cute and well written. I'd also probably have been happy just reading about Cori's search for purpose after the loss of her friend, and the friends and fulfillment she finds. The romance was of secondary interest to me. Would read the sequel, though!
