A fun, hilarious story about two husbands trying to live a normal and mundane life while having to hide from the other that they possess superpowers - and that these powers place them on opposite ends of a brewing war between Destroyers (transmigrators) and Protectors (indigenous dwellers).
The interaction between the MC and ML was quite sweet and wholesome, they managed to communicate quite well despite all the secrets between them. Have to say that the humor with all the mistaken and secret identities is what made reading this so fun!
It did feel a little anticlimactic at the end, and I'm not sure what the Extra chapters provided, but still an overall fluffy and interesting read!

i don't mind descriptive writing, but here it dragged unfortunately. i genuinely think this is a good, solid story, a nice spin for the genre and its tropes, and i was glad to be taken along for the ride, but you could really see the author playing 3d chess with possible future comments just by the sheer amount of exposition and explaining happening in each chapter.
on one hand, it shows just how carefully put together everything was (plot points, characters, props and locations) on the other hand i wish cyan wings had trusted in the readers, in their suspension of disbelief, in their own skill in connecting the dots
yu hua and you zhenping are the best part of the novel, in my opinion. their scenes are the strongest, though as always cyan wings has created some of the most endearing and compelling side characters for her story (a surprising lack of women in this particular story though, which surprised me quite a bit after the variety in devil venerable also wants to know!*)
the small arc in chapters 87 through 101 was the best part, for me. a little bit because the rest ended up feeling a bit repetitive even despite the really original ideas and characters introduced earlier in the story, but mostly because it felt catered to my interests specifically <3
*honestly, i am very surprised this was published after devil venerable, in terms of skill and, again, trust in the readers, in their ability to follow along and see the patterns for themselves, this feels like a step back. i had to double check the dates of publication and i am still struggling to believe it lmao
overall i did like the story, i just feel like it could have been even better if it shed a little weight here and there

-first part was SO funny: the pants being a whole plot point, both of them hiding their secret identities, "exercising", the whole studio workplace being established where all they do is like livestream / selling their employees looks and how they gradually accumulate more employees, all of whom have super special abilities yet are tyrannized by the (seemingly) completely ordinary MC
-romance wasn't a strong point for me but sweet how they're already together and married
-satire of the like transmigration / unlimited flow (I think?) genre, pretty fun
-felt super long, weaker towards the ending and started to feel tired, felt like there was a lot less comedy in favor of plot stuff so it got a little bit cheesy, just wanted to get it over with

Yu Hua : a man obsessed by a pair of pants. The relationship between Yu Hua and You Zhengping was hilarious, as was Yu Hua's overpowered pettiness. It was also very sweet. The comedy was superb - a joke you'd thought was over returned long after, to hilarious effect. I also liked the different leveler characters and how they reacted differently to their changed circumstances.
ngl, i do think cyan wings probably could have stood to cut this down a little? but i had fun all throughout so who am i to criticize the spirit that inspired a thousand pages of dog food, secret identity shenanigans and (least importantly) plot

AAAAAAAAAAAAA BEST BOOK IVE READ THIS YEAR AND FOR REAL THIS TIME. Cyan Wings is officially my most favourite author. I LOVE THE PLOT AND THE CONCEPTTT, LOVE THE EFFECTIVENESS AND THE HUMOUR IN THIS BOOK. EVERYTHING IN THIS BOOK IS SOOSOSOSOSOOSOS GREAT.
Especially the fucking characters!!!!!! Cyan Wings's characters always had one that is actually easy to be loved, but especially this book.
