Heidi has done it again in her new thriller. She keeps you guessing from page one and doesn’t let up until the very end.
The story is told from the night of the fire back to weeks before it happened. In between chapters, detective Marlow is interviewing people from the office and trying to learn what really happened that fateful night.
Brilliantly written, with lots of twists that keep you wanting to turn the page.

I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway. First, I think the title should be something like Smoldering because that’s what’s going on in this book. There are several little fires in several characters and they are smoldering under the surface. Second, really, I enjoyed this read. It was fairly twisty and turny and kept you thinking for most of it. I thought the end, the wrap up was a little too tidy, but all in all, a worthwhile read.
Really enjoyed.
I read this book all in one go. I really loved how the plot unfolded and I couldn't put the book down. The three main female characters were all so interesting, each dealing with their own issues which just added to the mess. I really would recommend giving this a read.

I did not expect the ending to this book at all. So that was a nice surprise.
The first half of the book seemed really repetitive but that's really my only complaint.
There was cattiness but they were called out on it. Also, I think alot of women could probably relate to this story. Ones who have had kids and gone back to work to find that someone else has taken over their job while they were away.
It was interesting and different. So I would definitely say read it if it's on your radar.

Three Perfect Liars was a dramatic, domestic thriller that keeps you guessing throughout the entire book! It gave me Pretty Little Liars vibes initially but the ending was something entirely different! This book tells the story of three different women, Laura, Mia and Janie. Three very different women at that. You will become sucked into the office politics and drama between Laura and Mia as well as Janies lifestyle as a rich housewife (but former prominent defence lawyer). You will learn things along the way that you don’t expect as the twists and turns get you! Also, the cliffhanger ending is perfect! I will definitely be reading more of Heidi Perks after this one!
Three Perfect Liars was good, not great for me. I enjoyed that there were multiple narrators, and how the stories ended up tying together, it just felt like it took a little too long to get to the point. I did appreciate the amount of sheer rage you could feel radiating out of the book. Thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for the chance to review this digital ARC!
Didn’t see this ending coming. Feels like the book drags at times but was good overall.

Three women all have some secrets. They know there is something up with the others, but they can't be sure. One event finally brings them all together and their lies are finally exposed.
This was a solid mystery, but I wouldn't consider it a thriller. I enjoyed how the chapters ended with transcripts of police interrogations. It kept me hooked and provided perspectives from some minor characters. I made my way slowly through the book. While interesting, it wasn't a book I just couldn't put down. It was a bit drawn out and some parts felt unnecessary to keep the plot moving. Overall, it was a good mystery that could be an exciting thriller with some chapters pared down.

Ambitious and talented Laura Demming took six months maternity leave when her son, Bobby, was born. Preparing for her first day back at Morris and Wood, she’s both excited and nervous, though she’s spent the past two weeks reviewing her accounts. When she arrives and sees her desk occupied by Mia Anderson, the temp she hired to cover for her, she realized her anxiety was misplaced: she should have been worrying about Mia.
Though Mia had professed to wanting only a temporary position, she was made a permanent employee and given a directorship, putting her on par with Laura. Laura is certain that Mia is harboring secrets and that if she doesn’t defend her position, she’ll be squeezed out. But at the same time, she must balance responsibilities to her husband and son.
Watching the events at her husband’s agency, Janie Wood knows Harry has made mistakes, but she’ll do anything to protect him and his company—as long as it means her daughters are provided for and the true reason she agreed to step back from her law career and leave London remains hidden.
The arrival of Miles Morgan, a potential new client, exacerbates the tension among the three women and leads to a fiery confrontation.
WHAT I LIKED
I liked that three ambitious, successful women were the focus of the book, but that they were complicated and struggled with balancing career and family responsibilities. The narrative was interspersed with transcripts from police interviews that ended on mini-cliffhangers, and I liked those because I am a fan of mixed media and also because they helped push the story forward.
WHAT DIDN’T WORK AS WELL FOR ME
The pacing of the book was a little slow for me, and it seemed though critical information about the characters’ pasts, instead of being presented organically, was instead offered in a more manipulative way, to obscure the reader. And while I generally like a character descending into paranoia, I felt like I need more context as to why Laura might be susceptible to this tendency which was a bit contradictory to her success. Finally, I wish that there had been more characterization of figures like Nate, Laura’s husband.

Okay, let me start off by saying this was a good book, a solid psychological thriller. The story is told through the eyes of three women, Mia, Laura, and Janie. There is a lot of mystery surrounding the fire and we aren't sure who set it or why. However, Laura's chapters felt extremely repetitive to me. I don't want to say too much but it was the same thing over and over again without any resolution or progress. It was a bit annoying actually Mia and Janie's chapters were a bit better but I felt the author kept dropping the same vague hints over and over again. We knew SOMETHING happened in the past and SOMETHING was a secret but we never knew what until the very end of the book. I wished more actually happened as I was reading rather than knowing something might eventually happen maybe.
