This was one of those gap filler reads. It was okay, but I don’t think I would have missed much if I didn’t read this one.

I would say it might be for fans of The Whisper Network by Chandler Baker.

While the concept is great, and the creative approach to telling the story is unique, I didn't like or connect with a single character. I'm not sure if Laura was written to be so exceptionally irritating or not, but her chapters were nearly unbearable. Based on the weirdly unrealistic lack of communication between all the characters, there is a small amount of tension, but I skimmed to the (unsatisfying) ending.

Thank you, NetGalley for providing my a free copy to read.

A well plotted, emotional mystery!
dark tense

In Three Perfect Liars, we meet Laura, Mia and Janie. Three women with secrets, office politics, a fire, and a body bag? Sign me all the way up!

Laura has hired Mia as a temp to cover her position at Morris & Wood advertising agency, while she’s on maternity leave, but upon her return, she learns that Mia is now permanent, and handling her largest advertising account. Laura is now convinced it was no accident that Mia has replaced her. Mia has quickly moved up in the company, but does she have ulterior motives? Mia’s home life isn’t the best, and I wanted to know what secrets she was hiding. Lastly, there is Janie, who is the CEO’s wife and seems to have it all. The handsome husband, she’s able to stay at home with her children, but is her life and marriage as perfect as it seems? Each of these woman had secrets and lies, and I wanted to know: who was involved in Morris & Wood burning to the ground? Who was in the body bag?

What I liked most was that this book had multiple points of view, as well as police interviews from employees that worked at the advertising agency. You were able to get into the minds of all three women, and see how they each perceived each other. All three of these women had a motive to burn the company to the ground, and I wanted to find out which one. I was most intrigued by Mia, I wanted to get to the bottom of what brought her to this company, and if she was as horrible as Laura made her seem. Laura however, grated on my nerves. She was so rude, bratty, catty and so focused on her jealousy of Mia, it almost became an obsession. Janie was bored with her life, and she had resentments that she kept hidden away from everyone. These women were all so unlikeable in their own ways. The office drama and the whodunit aspect kept me turning the pages. Overall, I did enjoy this book!
