I enjoyed this romance, it was cute, but it felt very surface level. I feel like we really didn't dive into the nitty gritty of the situation happening, and it just felt too easy.
This was such a cozy and emotionally satisfying read, the kind that quietly pulls you in and leaves you smiling long after it ends. With a heartfelt story, a sweet single dad, a nurturing heroine, and a charming small-town setting, this one had all the ingredients for a feel-good cowboy romance.
After receiving life-changing news, Jensen leaves behind his busy life in New York when he finds out he has a five-year-old son, Caleb, whose mother has recently passed away. Unsure how to navigate fatherhood, he returns to Bluebell, Montana, and leans on the only family he’s ever truly known. Mama Julie encourages him to spend the summer on the ranch, where he moves into a cozy cottage with Briar, his best friend’s younger sister. Briar not only opens her home but also agrees to care for Caleb, helping him through his grief and gently encouraging him to find his voice again.
Jensen was the kind of father figure that’s easy to love. From the moment he found out about Caleb, he was fully committed and eager to do the right thing. His vulnerability made him all the more swoon-worthy. Briar was equally loveable, full of warmth and patience, especially in her bond with Caleb. Their slow-burn romance was beautifully done, filled with subtle tension and quiet moments of connection. The lighthearted addition of Ziggy the goat and Nugget the rebellious chicken added a fun balance to the deeper emotions.
If you’re looking for a heartfelt small-town romance with emotional depth, found family, and a gentle but swoony love story, this is one to pick up. It’s the perfect start to a new series set in Bluebell, and I already can’t wait to read more about Heath, Walker, and the rest of this wonderful cast.

Wrangled Love by Ann Einerson
Jensen Harding got the biggest shock of his life when he got a phone call that he’s the father to a 5 year old boy he never knew he had. And he’s in the will to have full custody.
Newly a father, overworked, and dealing with a grieving child after he lost his mom, Caleb won’t speak a word and Jensen needs help.
He goes back to his childhood town, Bluebell, Montana a place he swore he’d never go back too. From there he asks for help from his family. Not by blood but by the people that loved him and raised him as their own. And now, they can hopefully help with Jensen’s son, Caleb.
From a chicken heist, fainting goats, the country fair with a 🔥 🎡 scene…
I’ve loved every bit of the small town vibes of this story.

This book was such a vibe. A man who would do anything for a son he just found out he fathered.
And a woman, Briar, who falls in love with them both. Fiercely.
It was swoony and absolutely freaking adorable.

𝐈𝐟 you love the single dad trope, "𝐖𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞" is the book to read. The story centers around Jensen, a successful CEO in NYC who unexpectedly becomes a single father to a 5-year-old boy after the tragic loss of his mother. Seeking a sense of normalcy, Jensen decides to temporarily move back to his hometown. Enter Briar, his best friend's sister, who is more than willing to lend a helping hand to him and his son. As they spend time together, a friendship blossoms into something much deeper.
𝐈 loved this book. Jensen's dedication to putting his son's needs first, paired with Briar's kind-hearted nature and clever ways of connecting with the little boy, made for a heartwarming and touching read. Their love story unfolded organically, fueled by their mutual care and support for each other. It was just so sweet and even better that we do not get a 3rd act breakup!
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, if you're a fan of single dad romances, "Wrangled Love" is a must-read. It's a sweet story that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Major thanks to the author for providing me with an e-book copy. All opinions expressed here are my own.

When Jensen’s world changes with the news that he has a son, he needs help and a support system, which he doesn’t have in the city. He decides he and his son need time together and returns to his hometown, where he ends up staying on his best friends ranch. Growing up, the ranch was a place of solace for Jensen, and maybe it can be for his son as well. The other person who found refuge there is Briar, his best friends little sister. They end up having to stay with Briar, but can Jensen keep his attraction to her quiet? Will the fresh air help his son heal? Brair became a source of comfort for Caleb and knew what he needed to hear, like when Ziggy fainted at the sight of superhero Jensen. I love that Jensen met Caleb where he was at and never once questioned him; he is nothing but supportive (and reads parenting books nonstop), and it was precious that he bought a seat for a large dinosaur on the Ferris wheel.

Did my heart grow after reading this sweet, single dad, age gap cowboy romance? It sure did! After Jensen finds out he is a father, he takes Caleb back to his hometown and way from the city to help the connection process. What Jensen doesn’t expect is his growing affection for Briar, his best friend’s sister who becomes Caleb’s nanny. The amount of empathy I had towards little Caleb, the number of times Jensen made me sigh and swoon, the times I rooted for the strong-willed Briar was remarkable. The romance and spice?…chef’s kiss. It was a fun, lighthearted story with som great underlying themes of found family and connections. Raising my hand enthusiastically to read all the books in this series as they release!
Thanks to the author for the eARC.

Ziggy and Caleb own my heart.
Now that that’s out of the way…this was a really good book. I’m excited to read the rest of the series but this book was special.
Briar’s mom wasn’t there for her and she ended up being adopted by the Halstead family.
Jensen’s parents had gambling problems and lost everything they owned. They were too busy gambling to care for him and the Halstead family essentially took him in.
When Jensen finds out that a one night stand from 6 years ago had his child and has now passed away his entire world is turned upside down. He left Bluebell, Montana in his rear view mirror 14 years ago and never looked back. He has worked hard in New York building his business, but it is no longer the most important thing in his life.…his son, Caleb, has to come before everything. Caleb is struggling to deal with his trauma and grief. Once they are back in Bluebell the two of them connect with Briar and honestly, the three of them helped each other heal from their different traumas. Watching the three of them form a family was beautiful. Both of their families weren’t blood, but people who chose to be in their lives, and it was the same for Caleb. Jensen could have easily said he didn’t want to raise this child he didn’t know existed but he put him first and continued to do that throughout the story.
I love a single dad romance, but this one was unique. We see a lot of babies dropped on doorsteps and the MMC and FMC learn the baby together but it is completely different when it’s a 5 year old and Ann wrote this very delicate balance with care and love.
