The dedication sums up the book PERFECTLY: “to the readers who love getting their hearts ripped out, trampled on, broken into a million pieces… and then put back together by the end” because that is exactly what happened

The most beautiful ending for Jesse and Willow’s story, they deserved the world and got it all together

And the redemption for Tate?? I’m so here for it

"Everything brought you to me. The good, the bad, the heartbreak, the love—everything led us to now, to us being together, to making us stronger, to making us the people we are. The people that love each other and share a bond so strong that no one will tear us apart."

I was lucky to get an ARC of Katherine Jay's newest book, The Sound of Forever (the final book in the Symphony of Sound duet).

The Sound of Forever picks back up where we left off on that cliffhanger in The Sound of Silence.

I enjoyed this book more than I did the first book in the duet and liked seeing how everything unfolds and plays out for Willow and Jesse.

I loved getting to see Willow come into her own in this book. She has grown and changed from the girl we first met in book one. I admire how strong she is after everything she has endured.

I loved Jesse so much more this time round! My heart broke for him after learning what he went through when he was younger.

It took a while, but Jesse finally stepped up and stopped dancing around the truth and what happened to Willow twelve years ago!

The Sound of Forever was a beautiful conclusion to Willow and Jesse's story.

Thank you so much to Katherine Jay for this ARC

This book picked up immediately where the first left off. This was the perfect ending to Willow and Jesse’s story. My heart was shattered into a million pieces and was brought back piece by piece. Every moment of this book was an emotional rollercoaster. It was so heartbreaking but also allowed them to move forward together.

Willow and Jesse’s characters grew so much over the course of both books it was amazing to read and watch them become better people individually and together as a couple. They both overcame their demons and came out on top.

I loved this duet, although I’m sad to leave this world and these characters, I’m so happy to have been given the opportunity to read these books early. I love all the characters in Katherine’s books. I’m so excited to read more.

I will inhale any book that Katherine writes. This duet had me from the beginning and the way that Willow and Jesse’s story ended was perfect. While Willow is desperately trying to remember she wonders if she can be happy if it never happens. Jesse just wants Willow to love him for him. The character development was amazing. The questions you needed answers to put your heart back together.

ARC review:
An emotional, heartbreaking and angsty story with so much character growth, suspenseful twists, and a beautiful and raw journey towards their HEA. I had a lot of unanswered questioned after the first book and while reading this I only got more, but all the questions got answered along the way and I am completely blown away by the beauty of this story. It was very layered and complex, but all the answers were portrayed in such a good way and the whole story evolve unexpectedly but so well. All in all, it gave an amazing story.

My mind may not remember him, but my heart always did.

This book picked up right where ‘The sound of silence’ left off, and I was very anxious while reading to see just what would happen and how it would all fit together. The road towards their HEA was not easy, but I am so happy with the ending, that it was worth all the hurt and angst throughout.

“No matter what you do from here on out, you’ll always remain my hero. Your strength, your courage, your heart. You are everything I never knew I needed but the one person I always missed.”

Both Jesse and Willow are broken and haunted by their past, but their connection is undeniable - they were soulmates and had that deep-seated forever kind of love. Jesse was such a good guy, but he came from a troubled past and had his demons to fight. I love how he cared so deeply for Willow and had a lot of patience and understanding and worked so hard to be better; to be the man Willow deserved (and who he was at his core). Willow was so incredibly strong, and I LOVED seeing her fighting and finally shredding the mask she has worn for so long. Both Jesse and Willow had their work cut out for them, but it was so beautiful seeing how they healed both individually and together and finally found their way back to each other.

“Fuck, Willow. Why is this so different? Why is everything with you so different? So amazing, so perfect.”
“Because we fit, because this is meant to be. And I know we’ll get through anything.”

This was raw and a roller coaster of emotions. The writing is fantastic and pulled me in immediately. The mix of suspense, angst, spice and so much love was very well balanced, and my heart broke before Katherine expertly put it back together again. This story will be with me for a very long time and Jesse and Willow own my heart completely!

This duet will live with me forever. I love it so much. Although book 2 didn't get a full 5, it's still beautifully written and I loved Jesse and Willow's path to their HEA.

Book one was angsty AF and gave me legit chills in some scenes. Although the angst is still here, Jesse and Willow have more of a hard time resisting each other and denying their feelings.

The twists and turns that Katherine takes us on through this book is twisty AF. The emotions were all over the place too, from sadness, grief, remorse, anger, regret and so much more.

Everyone needs to read this duet. EVERYONE. It's angsty, emotional, filled with twists and turns, and a beautiful love story.
