I really enjoyed the character growth in this one after the frustrating back and forth between the MCs in the first book. Super satisfying ending.

I am beyond grateful that Katherine didnt make us wait forever for the second half of her Symphony of Sound duet - The Sound of Forever. If youve read book 1 then youll know it ends on a cliffhanger and I needed to know everything as soon as I closed the cover.
Katherine answers any & all of your questions in this. Throwing our hearts into a blender in the process. She is a queen for angst! I fell hard for Jesse in the first book, he was another perfect example of how amazing Katherine is at writing broken boys with a whole world of love to give. How he fought for his Buttercup in this, yet tried his hardest to give her the space she needed. The depth to these characters and their story, the growth throughout the 2 books. The emotions & fight you felt from them both.. Exceptional.
I dont want to give spoilers but if you like having your heart wrecked (and then fixed again).. dont we all, Small town, Hockey, He falls first & harder and ‘shes mine’ then this is what youre looking for!

Such a lovely ending to this duet.
I loved the journey these two went on to find each other, especially Willow finding herself.I’m also glad we didn’t get another rushed engagement scene at the end, like so many romances seem to have these days.
I will say the thriller and drama suspense was mostly used up in the first book, but there was still a little bit of mystery. My biggest problem with the first one continued in this installment - a lot of repetitive language. To the point that it became corny.

This story had so much pain and regret from the past. A past the Jesse knew but Willow forgot after her accident. Despite the memory loss, Willow had an insane connection with Jesse. He tried to keep her at arms length, but the box he stuffed his feelings down into began to break apart, refusing to let him repress his feelings for Willow any longer.
The angst and pain Willow went through as she was trying to absorb the facts as they were thrown at her.... it was a lot. There's definitely a point of acceptance around a third of the way through book 2 and that's where we see Willow really start to process things in a healthy way and break out of the cycle of going through the motions and pretending she is fine for everyone else's sakes instead of allowing herself to feel her feelings. It became about moving on and her feelings shifted more towards abandonment from Jesse. I really love how far Willow and Jesse came in this story. They became a true team.

This was my most anticipated read and omg the wait was so worth it!
The sound of Forever picks up right where the sound of silence finishes and if you were like me you were gagging for answers after that cliff hanger!
Katherine has tied everything together perfectly in my opinion!
Jesse and willow have my whole heart and their story is one you can’t help but fall in love with!
So beautiful, moving and heartwarming, I went through all of the emotions during this one!
I will forever recommend this duet, it has everything! Hockey, small town, swoony moments, suspense and a couple plot twists! I was glued to the pages and could not put it down ❤️

I really loved the duet. The characters were worth the time I spent on them. The best thing about broken main characters is they heal together as the story progresses. I didn't know I had a thing for broken characters until now. It was so nice to be a part of Jesse and Willow's journey as they found their happily ever after ❤️
“Listen to me,” Willow says, her voice filtering into my mind.
“Focus on my voice.” She repeats my words back to me, making me finally relax.
“What do you hear?”
“I hear you,” I say with a smile. “It’s the sound of forever.”

i wast invested enough if the characters after "the big reveal" was done
I’m so sad that Willow and Jesse’s story is done. This romantic suspense duet was done so well. I loved Katherine’s writing style with this. I can easily say this is my top read by her now!
The concluding part of the Symphony of Sound duet takes you from the heart shattering ending of The Sound of Silence along the emotional developing relationship of Jesse and Willow to their HEA.
The story is packed with suspense, angst, heart breaking and heart warming moments, there are twists and turns and revelations. This book delivers so much, Jesse and Willow are amazing characters and their development throughout the duet is brilliant. I felt so invested in their love story. They battled through so much but their bond survived time, secrets and distance and they got their much deserved and beautiful HEA.
A fantastic romantic suspense not to be missed.
