Enjoyable but not as good as I had hoped. One book for the duet would’ve been too much but two felt like it dragged slightly.

A perfect ending to this duet! This picks up right where we left off in TSOS.

Jesse and Willow have a lot to overcome. Reading these two navigate the hard truths and the lowest parts of their relationship shattered my heart then stitched it right back together. Jesse was NOT letting Willow go, again. That man was adamant, possessive and so, so in love with Willow

I won't spoil anything because this is the second part of a duet but what I can say is :

- I really love Katherine's writing. I find it captivating.
- This second part has a different feeling, maybe because it's in a different setting (

I am very grateful that Katherine did not let us wait to receive the second part of this duet. If you have read the first part - The Sound of Silence - then you know that it ends in a big cliffhanger.

In the second part, we finally find out the answer to what happened that night when Willow lost both her friend and her memory with that unpleasant event.

Willow needs time to process everything that happened, and Jesse doesn't give up on his Buttercup, despite the fact that he has to give her space. They are both miserable for a while, but in the end their love overcome everything.

I felt that this book is much stronger emotionally. So if you want to have your heart wrecked and then fixed again, then you have to give this duet a chance.

Thank you Katherine Jay for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.

I have had to sit on doing this review because my mind was still trying to process the pure amount of mental gymnastics I went through while reading. The way we were left to wonder what possibly could’ve happened to Willow after the conclusion of the first book was just the beginning!

The back and forth, push and pull, between Jesse and Willow throughout the book is great. Jesse has had to keep a huge secret from Willow for years, but will he finally break? Does he need to? He’d do anything for her, and honestly it might just help with how he’s gotten back into his own head after seeing her after so many years. Willow is essentially fighting everything that’s against her to remember her past. Will the past ultimately hurt her, or will it finally give her the peace of mind to break out and truly be herself?

I really enjoyed seeing how both characters grew, even through struggles, throughout this book. It didn’t feel like there was a quick “wrap it up, here’s their HEA” story, and that made it feel like it could be about someone close to the heart. So much happens for both of them, and part of me still can’t fully wrap my head around it.

Plot or Character Driven: Character

~~ thank you so much to Katherine for sending me an ARC of this amazing book! 😍 ~~

were you expecting a different rating? cause I certainly was not! 😍

I loved this story so much! I totally fell in love with the characters in only two short books, I can't get enough of Jessie and Willow and their love story!

I loved this plot so so much! so many twists and turns, there was never a dull moment!

I just loved every part of this duology! I love Katherine's writing so so much! there's no better love story, than a Katherine written one! 😍

I don't want to give too much away since this is the second book in the duology, all I'm gonna say is that the story just got better from the first book, and it wrapped up so beautifully I really couldn't ask for anything better!

I can never get tired of Katherine's books, when is the next one please and thank you!!! 😍

This duet has undeniably claimed its spot as one of my favorite reads of the year.

This one picks up exactly where The Sound of Silence ended. Not only did this have suspense which I loved but it was such an emotional story. So good!! I loved Willow and Jesse's story. Katherine did an excellent job with their character development. This was the perfect ending to this great duet! Definitely recommend.

I received an arc and this review is my own.
