I like some of the concepts here but Koontz is poor at writing well developed characters.
This book has three of my favourite things. It is spooky, a bit sciency, and it has intelligent characters taking rational decisions. An easy 5 stars.

Wow wow wow! Had me captivated from page one! About mid way through I did kind of start feeling like it was Stephen kings "it", but by the end it wasn't really. Highly recommend!! Now I'm ready to be disappointed by the movie 😂
Dean Koontz has a sweet way to satisfy the inner gore addict in me. I absolutely loved this novel, it knows no boundaries and it goes all out when it comes to the dirty details. I had to knock down a star because it kinda drags out in the middle but not enough to prevent me from finishing it. Most likely to re-read in the future.
