It felt like this one was largely phoned in.

Where did Benito come from? What’s her deal?
It wrapped up neatly and a bit too quickly.

3.5. Less violent than the originals. I like these better.

I'll be honest, this book got an extra star than it deserves just because of my affection for Blomkvist and Salander. Much like it's post-Larsson predecessor, it lacks the complexity and depth of the original trilogy, and the pace seems inconsistent; sometimes lingering, sometimes rushing through things that feel they would have been worth exploring further. That said, it is still an interesting story and the characters still feel consistent, if not a little underused, and the Scandi-cool vibe is still there. Whilst it's not an insult to Stieg Larsson's legacy, and I am pleased the series continues, I worry about the next book, and the next one, and where it is likely to end up. And more than anything it highlights what we lost with Larsson.

ole lisbeth takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'.

meh

It seemed to me uselessly complicated, but it was an enjoyable reading all the same.

Mi è sembrato inutilmente complicato, ma è stata comunque una lettura piacevole.

An admirable continuation of the series considering the original author's death. The current author has stayed true to Lisbeth Salander's character. A much superior effort to say, the Jason Bourne series which has gone off the rails with it's new author.

Gave it a 9/10. The book picks up with familiar characters and new ones get added pretty quickly, so you gotta keep the characters straight. But it picked up sooooo fast I finished it in about a day. I personally liked the way it went back in time to before book #1 and dug the plot deeper. Sad at parts :(. It’s been crazy to see how much has happened in the last 5 books!!

P.s this was the first library book i rented

The 5th book of the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series started by Steig Larsen and continued by David Largercrantz. If anything this story has more twists and surprises than the earlier ones. Twins separated at birth and mistaken identity among other things. Too easy to spoil so I won't. I enjoyed it and hope there will be more.

I really loved the plot on this one and, yes, I cried at the end!!
