I liked the Set Up better, but every Meghan Quinn book has been enjoyable. There are some laugh out loud moments and little hidden jokes. It went faster for me than the set up, but that's not a complaint, just an observation. Just like most MQ books, there's a what the what moment that made me go back and reread, thinking I read wrong! Holt was such an interesting character, not at all what he initially seemed.

While I don’t understand why this story was second to last in the series. Feels like it should have been after the first for a better timeline. I did enjoy it. I wasn’t as in love with it because Holt was barley a character like the others so we weren’t really like oh my god I need his book. However it was cute love story and a fun quick read

I love Holt and his persistence to win her heart. I laughed out loud more in this book than the others! Loved their banter 😍

Thank goodness for the #towelbrigade and their sexy, fun and swoon worthy stories! I'm so happy that I'm finishing up the year with this book. It put smiles on face and made my heart flutter all throughout.

Plot: THE STRIKE OUT starts off with Holt Green along with this baseball buddies Knox Gentry (The Locker Room), Carson Stone (The Dugout) and Jason Orson (The Lineup) drunk off their a$$, talking about the benefits of male thongs, while ordering burgers with a very unimpressed waitress who not only feels that athletes have everything handed to them but also loathes them after being scorned by one.

But attracted to her fiery passion, Holt crashes her day off at a cover band contest and charms her into a fun, deep relationship neither was prepared for. Will it be too much, too soon for both? Especially when Holt knows his time at Brentwood is limited.

I finished this book on the last day of a very “peculiar” year. It wasn’t by design, but I’m very glad it landed on my e-reader and brought huge smiles, laughs and yes the very desirable swoon! I was pressed for time and made a quick list of the things that I liked about the book and made me give it 5 stars. The main characters were definitely on it.

Hero: I LOVED Holt. I loved his cocky, self assured side, his caring side, his romantic side and his vulnerable side all wrapped up in a delicious package. He’s so in touch with his feelings which I think has to do with his wonderful and loving parents. It was impossible not to adore him.

Heroine: Harmony was perfect for Holt. She's strong, feisty, smart and knows how and when to put him in his place

Sexiness: Holt and Harmony hit it off right from the start, yet even though the attraction between them leaps off the pages, theirs is a delicious slow burn which I utterly loved.

Feels & other stuff: This story has so many noteworthy moments, that I feel as though I’d end up sharing everything if I started listing them. The first chapter alone is worth the price of admission. I LAUGHED so MUCH with Holt’s charming and quick witted tongue. I smiled with the thoughtfulness, and swooned with the romance.

THE STRIKE OUT had everything I love in a romance. I also I loved Meghan's Hallmark cameo, NY Christmas part that we can totally get into right now during the holidays and for the Quinn fans, I LOVED that she made fun of her writing style and did something different for this book. Vague? Yes! But if you're a fan, you'll know what I'm talking about when you finish reading this great book.

And last, but certainly not least, is the incredibly sweet, happy ever after double epilogues that brings their story full circle.

The Strike Out is a standalone college romance by Meghan Quinn. It is a sexy standalone romance, told from both points of view with a happy ending. Sub-genres: Baseball romance | Rom-Com | Enemies-to-Lovers

“Ah . . . are you saying this might be the girl? You know Green men are known for being able to pick out their soulmate with one kiss.”

This baseball sports romance read is delicious, like anything Meghan Quinn writes, the banter is

I've been waiting for the rest of Harmony and Holt's story. I couldn't put this one down. I love Holt. He's has a crazy sense of humor but he has a heart of gold as well. Harmony and Holt fit like puzzle pieces. They have crazy chemistry that leads to great sexual tension. There banter was one of my favorite parts of the book. It's good for Holt he has to work for it. Those baseball boys have it easy with the opposite sex so Harmony is a breath of fresh air for Holt. Though their first impressions and first meeting doesn't go exactly great. When you read it you'll know what I mean. Not gonna lie these had the tears flowing in my eyes. There is so much feels and emotion. Harmony and Holt take us on one heck of a journey that is so worth it. This is a must read!
