I really enjoyed this one. It pulled me in from beginning to end and I loved watching these two come together. Holt and Harmony both have things they are dealing with and Harmony has a major hang up with sports players and the way they get treated at the university. One night, Holt and his close friends end up at Harmony's table and Holt is smitten. He loves her feistiness as well and it leads to him digging in to find out who she is and meeting up with her at the beach. They definitely have some things to work through as they start getting to know each other. I loved how Holt didn't rush Harmony with going all the way though they did continue to move forward and there are plenty of steamy scenes, it builds and isn't just about the homerun. Holt doesn't want to scare Harmony off but he really likes her and really feels like she is the one for him. There are a few twists and turns that they have to deal with and obstacles to overcome as well. Holt has to deal with some things and find a way to work through it in a healthier way than he had been. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and loved the banter between our main characters. This is a standalone story though it is later in the series so you definitely recognize some characters but easy to start here as well. I love these guys and can't wait for more.

Meghan Quinn is one of my favorite authors but this book was just not it for me. I wasn't feeling the MCs. I was annoyed and irritated and frustrated by them. The only reason I finished it was bc I skimmed/skipped through a good chunk of it. Also it wasn't even like a proper unexpected pregnancy trope -it kinda just skimmed through it, it was pretty half-assed.

I have been a big fan of this baseball series by Meghan Quinn and I absolutely love the characters and banter in The Strike Out. Holt and Harmony are two strong characters with their own flaws but aren’t too stubborn to not realize when they make mistakes. There are lots of heart-warming scenes and some really hot ones too.

The audio version was narrated by Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright. I absolutely adored having them in my ears. They portray the characters so well and oh my goodness, hot scenes were hot!

Thoughts: Great characters, great growth, really enjoyed this one. Looking forward to book 8!

I think Holt Green might be my favourite MQ hero yet. And he had mighty boots to fill. But the banter and the flirting between him and the sassy, closed off, independent Harmony Styles was OFF. THE. CHARTS. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face and I actually dragged this read out because I didn't want it to be over. I rarely do with rom-com's from one of the queens of the (sub)genre.
This is definitely grumpy/sunshine but the girl is the grump this time and Holt...my darling Holt is the sweetest...well expect those times when he isn't, but I don't wanna talk about that..READ THIS. For fun times, for laughs, for brilliant writing and such great friend groups and a couple that I just want to have all the good things. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this. All opinions are my own.

I think it is funny that not only did she write herself into the story, so also did a clap back on the readers’ comments about The Locker Room. LOL!
