The meet cute is my favorite thing about this book. This one is set back in college like a few of the other Brentwood books. So we get young Carson, Knox and Jason which I kind of love because if you read any of the other books in the series it is fun to see them at different times in their lives.

Holt is different that is for sure I wasn’t sure I would like him as much as I liked the others. He has a few things I am not a fan of but the way he loves isn’t one of them. He jumps in whole heart and you can’t help but like that.

Harmony I did feel was a little like 2 people, she felt very one sided at the beginning of the book then by the end it was like she grew her backbone back.

These two together is sweet, and I loved how it ended but somewhere in the middle I think Harmony lost a little of herself. But she does seem to get it back, but that was where the story for me didn’t work and that’s ok because it worked out in the end.

Loved the narration, I think Connor and MacKenzie were the perfect Holt and Harmony.

This was a sweet love story between Holt and Harmony with a lot of comedic moments especially coming from Holt. He had my kind of humor. There were serious moments but overall I enjoyed this sweet romantic read.

Holt is so stinking smooth I love it. I got a little irritated with the FMC, but push through she gets better and the book as a whole is great!!

If you read any of my reviews then you will know that Meghan Quinn is one of my favorite authors. Her books are off the chart good. If you want a feel good romance then pick up one of her books. Meghan Quinn is the master of great text conversations. They will make you smile and LOL.

The Strike Out is Holt & Harmony’s story. We have met him previously in one of the other interconnected books. Yes each story can be read as a standalone there are other books with characters that show up in this sports romantic comedy. Harmony is “Locker Room” worthy.

I loved reading Holt’s story!!! Another 5 star read!!! I would say that isn’t a “Strike Out” at all!

cute

Holt and Harmony’s story. Cute and fun. I love her friend Priya am hoping she has her own book but we will see.

I loved these two.

They got me all tied up emotionally. I loved the dialogue. I loved the chase.

I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.

Meghan Quinn always manages to get me laughing and into a book.

Great story.

5 stars for The Strike Out by Meghan Quinn. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review. All opinions stated are my own. The towel brigade is back with Holt Green’s story. If you read the Team Player 2 anthology, then you got a glimpse of his story. This is another funny and sexy read from Meghan Quinn. Harmony is a waitress who is unimpressed by athlete. Holt has an instant attraction to her, but his time is limited. These two hit it off and it gave me all the feels. I have wanted Holt’s story since being introduced to his character in the beginning and I am so glad I finally got it. It did not disappoint. Harmony and Holt are the couple everyone wished they could be. It just feels like their relationship jumps off the pages at you, but it wouldn’t be a Meghan Quinn book with out a little angst. If you want a book that will give you all the feels , then Holt and Harmony’s story is a must read.

I loved this hilarious, swoony, sports romance with all the sweet & flirty banter, and the sexual tension between Holt and Harmony. Holt especially, has completely stolen my heart and left me breathless scene after scene! Harmony is working her way thru college and when she waited on Holt and some of his teammates at the diner, she was not impressed. She thought they acted entitled and got too many privileges' they didn't deserve. Holt liked that Harmony didn't fall all over them and tried to ask her out but she shot him down. There was something about her that he needed to know more about. He worked hard at winning her over, and when he did, they were so perfect together. Harmony was determined to work for what she earned, so it was hard for her to accept any help from Hunt. I liked how their relationship progressed so naturally, as they learned how to trust and compromise. But when the unexpected comes up and changes both their plans, will they be able to trust each other with the really hard stuff? Harmony was a great character, she was strong, independent, and fun. I loved Holt and thought he was so swoony in how patient, kind, and romantic he was, and how he took ownership of his flaws. I also loved all their friends who added so much fun and humor to this story as well.
Connor Crais, and Mackenzie Cartwright were brilliant as Holt and Harmony, delivering a performance that was completely addictive. They portray each character with a perfect balance between fun & flirty, heartbreaking emotion, and sizzling passion flawlessly. This was such a fun listen as I laughed out loud, more than once, at their hilarious banter and awkward situations, and took my breath away during some especially emotional moments as well. I loved both their deliveries as they brought this hilarious, heartwarming, sweet and steamy story to life!

Audio Review: The Strike Out (The Brentwood Boys, #7) by Meghan Quinn, Narrated by Connor Crais & MacKenzie Cartwright

The Strike Out will break your heart piece by piece. Quinn pulls emotions into a soulful story that refuses to be typecast. Holt and Harmony are destined to break a heart, but it's only within the heartache that the healing can begin.

Im obsessed w this series as ive read 99% of it, however this one I was obsessed with the first half but the second half didnt do it for me. felt strange & rushed & flat. Still adore my brentwood boys men nonetheless
