Another great story, light read, college sports romance with a surprise pregnancy.
Holt was simply swoonworthy.
Harmony was frustrating for me at times, mostly because i dont relate heavily with heroine who are this defensive, reactive and closed off, but she came around in the end.

I thought it was a decent love story, but I did think the characters were awfully mature, and very sexually savvy for 20 years old. The age thing was my only speed bump with the story - maybe college is different now - but there were many parts of the story that would have rung truer to me for late 20’s, early 30’s. They characters definitely acted a decade older than their age. (In my opinion) It is the first “sports” book I’ve read by Meghan, I’ve loved her rom coms and look forward to reading more of her works.

Let's talk about breakups. In general, this is my least favorite part of romance novels. In many of the other books in this baseball series (*ahem* Knox and Carson), the breakups were EPIC. Pretty much ruined the books for me because I wanted to smack their heads and tell them to stop being dumb. Or go see a therapist. I mean 8 years??? Ugh. Of course, Meghan is a damn good writer and I tortured myself reading 4 of these baseball books. But after the fourth book I was sure I was not going to continue the series.
Of course curiosity got to me when this book was released and I read a few reviews to find out that the breakup was not as bad as the rest of the series. Hallelujah! And let me say - the breakup in this book was perfect. There was some miscommunication between the couple, but it wasn't so much that I wanted to smack them. And given that they're in college, the struggles they had were totally understandable. Definitely some angst but it got sorted out in a month or so. And there was actually a therapist involved?? Wow. Bonus points for that!! I can't remember the last time I read a book where the character(s) actually went to a therapist. I really feel like if more characters in romance novels got therapy they wouldn't be having these ridiculously epic breakups.... I know, I know it's just a fictional book! But I really do hate the stupidity in breakups...
Why am I giving this 4 stars instead of 5? Personal preference. I prefer a lot of humor and while this book definitely had some, I prefer more. Meghan has other books with more humor that I liked better. I also love banter with the side characters in addition to the couple and while Harmony and her BFF were pretty great, it wasn't as good as the Knightly bothers or the Rath/Bram bromance. There weren't many scenes with the other baseball players, but I could see how that didn't really fit into the plot. Actually now that I think about it this book was really just focused on the couple and the side characters were pretty minimal. It probably made sense for the plot, but I missed seeing more interactions with other characters. I will say that this book is my favorite of the series, but there are a lot of other books by this author that I liked more.

Holt was definitely a cocky guy but you got used to it over time. Harmony didn’t really want the relationship because she wanted to stay focused on graduating. Story was good in my opinion.
