A great sequel to Six of Crows! Though not quite as good in my opinion. The first 150 pages flew by for me, as did the last 100 or so, but the middle felt quite slow to me, with a lot of talking, and planning, and negotiating, in lieu of action.
I also felt as though some of the character arcs weren't pulled of as well as in the first book, though Wylan was definitely more developed in this book, and I was glad to see some chapters from his POV.
I wasn't really satisfied with the ending (though I'm very picky, and have yet to read a book with an ending that I found satisfying), and I felt that certain events were rushed, resulting in character arcs with lukewarm resolutions.
That said, the writing and imagery were still lovely, the plot and premise were creative, and overall, this duology was a really fun adventure. I'd it to most fantasy readers.

Even better than the first book! I absolutely loved this book and I’m really hoping there’s a third one. I feel like it ended on a really good note but I’m gonna miss not reading about the crows if there isn’t another book. I love how this book dived more into the characters thoughts and their relationships with eachother, it made me feel even closer to them and felt like I was watching these events right in front of me.

I really liked this book. I’ve read the first one twice and now this one. It took me a bit to get through but overall it’s a great book. I feel so attached to all the characters and their stories. Every aspect from the characters, to the plot and the world is very flushed out. The characters all have intricate backgrounds and personalities and personal motives. And even the writing. Leigh Bardugo is a spectacle. I’m in awe of how she thought through all the different plans. There were so many things I didn’t see coming. Everyone should read this.
