I liked the book because the story was different. The growth of the two characters was something I enjoyed but I also felt like the MMC was toxic and stayed that way till the end which made the spicy scenes less enjoyable to read and made the MMC less lovable to me. It’s always fun to read that the FMC has as much fun during the spicy scenes as the MMC and it really felt like the MMC’s pleasure was the only thing that mattered in them because of the FMC’s inexperience. The ending felt rushed without any real resolution which made for a more bittersweet ending even with the epilogue eluding to a happy ending. All in all it was a good book I did enjoy reading it and there were aspects of it I did find very relatable, but I was expecting the book to be like her other book “the bonus” and it just wasn’t as good in my opinion.

Love their story
I knew from reading the sneak peak of this book in the back of Mr. Masters that I would fall in love with Spencer and Charlotte. I did and not only is their story beautiful, it keeps you on your toes.

I loved Spencer’s character development; however, I wish the ending didn’t feel so rushed. Charolette definitely had some groveling to do and it just wasn’t enough.

I read this book as ARC prior to it’s release date in return for an honest review. Honestly this may be one of my favorites of T.L. Swan’s books. She really out did herself with this one. Spencer Jones is an alpha male you can’t help but fall in love with. He’s the tough exterior but a sweet gentleman inside. Although he never knows about the second part until he crosses paths with Charlotte Preston. Charlotte turns his world upside down, as he returns the favor and turns hers right side up. Charlotte is suffocated in a family of men who only want the best for her. She plays nice so as not to disrupt the slightly already dysfunctional family. Until she meets Spencer, and she just wants to throw her good girl ways away. The push pull “lie to me” relationship will have you flipping through pages to find the end goal. You will laugh and you will get a little frustrated but it’s a great read, and an amazing addition to the rest of T.L’s alpha men.

Another great novel
Another great novel. I love the length of these stories, always around 580 pages from TL. Gives so much more depth than a typical romance.
