It seems like a lot of people DNF'd this book or gave it a low rating. Yes, the H (Spencer Jones) was a womanizer but who doesn't love a story about a woman that tames a notorious womanizer's heart? Especially when it's a woman that's nearly royalty (she has a title) and is out of his league? Once Spencer meets Charlotte and falls for her, he becomes monogamous AF. That being said, I enjoyed the book. Not as much as Mr. Masters but it was still a good read. Charlotte can appear juvenile at times (she was 12 years his junior and a virgin when she met him), so the fact that Spencer is way more experienced than her comes off as cringeworthy at times. There are a couple of twists, but I saw them a mile away.

Ohhhhh Mr. Spencer....
Honestly, this book probably would have been 5 stars for me, but something about the characters and the matchup I just didn't love. I found the female lead to be a little annoying and weak, and just wanted her to grow more of a backbone. While I love that he was there for her and was willing to stand up to her family for her, I really wanted her to punch her brother in his stupid, controlling, face.
The spicy scenes in the book were fantastic and I would definitely recommend it to others who have read the first book in the series.

I liked the drama in this one. Their relationship was anything but smooth sailing but not for the reasons I expected.
Spencer's wild situations were discussed in the first book so I had expected this book to be more of that. Fortunately, its not.
I liked Spencer's character. He is VERY honest, which is important for a man with his "reputation." He really helped Charlotte learn to stick up for herself. However, he is insensitive at times to Charlotte's feelings and I personally felt as if he expected more trust than he had immediately earned.
I also liked Charlotte's character throughout most of the book. Except at the end. She completely overreacted, in my opinion. She knew Spencer's history and was completely unable to handle it.
My biggest issue is the abrupt ending. So many areas of the book drug on, which I don't mind when I enjoy the characters. But when the ending is so abrupt and then jumps to "5 years later," I always feel cheated.

After finishing book one of the ‘Mr’ series, I immediately jumped into this one, since Spencer was one of Master’s close friend. It was noted repeatedly in this book and the previous that Spence was a player; which turned into a focal point of this story.
While I understood the dynamics society, wealth, and all that jazz played in Charlotte’s life. It really became annoying and her naïveté grated on my nerves.
The girl couldn’t make a decision to save her life. And ironically, it seemed Spence was trying to get her to step away from being controlled- while yet making decisions for her.
I would’ve given this story 4 stars, but I found some of the dialogue to be repetitive. And the heroine to be too annoying... so much so I found myself rooting for Spence to not reconnect with her. I agreed wholeheartedly with Beth, she didn’t deserve to be with him. He was MOST definitely too good for her.
Others on the list of go f** yourself: Lara, Penelope, Harold, and Edward.
Favorite moments: Sheridan confronting Charlotte; the proposal, and all interactions with the Misters.

Spencer was an incredibly sexy, playful and dominating hero. He's a British playboy who falls completely in love with our heroine and is now ready to hand over his heart. Cue the swooning please! I highly recommend

3 1/2 Adult Angst
The story started out well but I lost interest once the story started with the angst. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's the type of angst that just causes me to roll my eyes. I really liked the H in the beginning.

baby spoilers!!!!
This is the first book by this author I’ve actually sat down to physically read (usually do her audiobooks) and I’m conflicted. It was good for most of it but there are some factors that I don’t really understand why they were even included? She has security the entire time and has for years because of an accident her mother was in but her life is never put at risk. Why even write that in if you aren’t going to make a situation like that? Also the MMC has a 10 year ! FWB relationship with a woman who’s in love with him and then suddenly she’s just gone? Also don’t get me started on his dad either or why one of her best friends is sleeping with her brother and it’s brought up 49 times but never genuinely hashed out. It feels like there were so many places that this story could’ve gone to but conflicts were just introduced and ignored in lieu of smut (which was good but that’s all she really writes lol). 3.75/5 because I actually enjoyed it but I want conflict introduced to have resolution!!
