she did not deserve the mmc. Not nearly enough groveling from her for how she constantly treated him as not enough

The constant problems began to get repetitive and boring though I loved how he was so supportive of her. I couldn’t stand any of her friends and all of them pushing her to have sex because they have sex a lot. Kinda pissed me off.

Not as good of a story as masters. Ways it wasn’t as good - the heroine was a spoiled sheltered rich girl who was spineless. What bothered me even more than the fact she “fell in love” so quickly was that she went from her brother and father railroading her in to letting Spencer speak for her. I do believe Spencer at least believed that she was strong in her own right and should be making her own choices as an adult. But he was spoiling for a fight so bad he didn’t even give her the opportunity to deal with her own shit before he made declarations for her.
I do t mind Spencer’s background and history as playboy - not at all. It’s not unbelievable that he would have interest in charlotte, or she in him. I think both felt things they never felt before. Was it love? I don’t buy it. It wasn’t as is the love was built on anything substantive. They were smitten, yes. But the I love you’d got nauseating and you just knew something was going to come out of left field. And it did. And it was realistic. What wasn’t realistic to me was the “reconciliation”. He was angry, she didn’t listen to him and ignored his wishes to be left alone. Then wakes him in the morning with a BJ. It felt icky to me. Consent goes both ways sweetheart. The reconciliation at the end didn’t ring true either.

Ugh, another DNF, at 61%. I keep wanting to love this author’s work but the characters are so over the top. I stopped reading when Spencer called Charlotte a “fucking bitch”. She was batshit crazy as well in that scene, and just NO. Not continuing.

I’ve read other books by this author and love how funny she is. She writes hysterical dialogue in her books that usually has me crying. This one was different. There weren’t many funny moments, it seemed rushed, the break up period was towards the end of the book and it was rushed. I know the genre calls for love at the end, and I wanted stronger female characters who are treated like garbage to hold their ground in all her other books, but the one who does push it is in the wrong. That was disappointing. The way they got back together and he was still treating her kind of poorly when the story ended was so disappointing. I feel like this wasn’t her best book and it was a waste of 515 pages.

a fucking rollercoaster

Honestly, everyone needs a Spencer Jones in their corner. He would move heaven & hell just to make her happy. The plot twist in this book was insane and I NEVER saw it coming. It all went to madness from there. I thought I couldn't read the first 3/4 of the book fast enough, but holy hell the last chunk sends you into a tailspin. I despise Edward with my entire existence & Harold can eat a dick. The rest of the book is magical though.

Little disappointed in this one. I really enjoyed Mr. Masters so I expected to feel the same about this book. Not so. I was annoyed by Charlotte from the beginning. Her brother's weird obsession with her and the fact that she never actually stands up to him irked tf outta me. The ending wasn't great either. Not sure how you can get beyond your bf having slept with your sister-in-law prior to knowing you. Just ew. Another point that pissed me off (there were many) was the fact that they booted Spencer out when they found out about Penelope, but she got to stay in the family. And yes, I get that William stayed because of his son. Blah blah blah.

I did not expect to like this story but it made me laugh, it made me cry and I was frustrated at times and I honestly enjoyed it!
I definitely give it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
It didn’t have the spice/smut I normally like but the development of characters and the unraveling of the story made me overlook it.
I did not expect certain twists that’s for sure!

Audible listen. Shoe East and Sofia Lette

I loathe giving a low rating. Honestly, I do but I have some major issues here and I’m over 9 hours in. It feels like a waste of time. There may be some spoilers here but my gosh.

How is this guy with this huge appendage taking this woman’s virginity and it’s unknown or maybe unseen aftermath and she is totally unfazed, going at it with no issues? What’s up with her having to go over such deep explanation as to why he can’t meet his ex? Why did the FMC seem like a Mary Poppins prude but is irritatingly needy? She felt manipulative, I mean what a useless arguments. “A giant golden uterus”?!?! WTF??? What’s going on with other characters in the story?

The brother’s wife was a little predictable. The brother Edward was a pain in the neck. And the ex....AGAIN? The last sex scene was really strange, their disagreements were actually disturbing, rudely and verbally aggressive. It could have been a hot sexy story but there’s no chemistry and very little Shane.

This just felt lacking. Maybe I will change this review after the last 5 or so hours, it’s not like I am going to stop this far in. I feel like I picked this story apart but it is what it is.

I had a BLAST reading this book. The relationship dynamic that T.L. Swan has created between Julian, Spencer, and Seb continues to draw me in. They are truly brothers, there to help in the hard times and also to crack jokes and tell each other when they are wrong.

I was worried at first when Charlotte and Spencer started moving lightening fast but it didn't distract from the story. From the beginning we are told that Spencer is hoe but from the moment he wanted Charlotte you can see him completely change. The growth we see from both him and charlotte being never being in a relationship and learning how to be in one together was fun to "watch" They just bloomed together so well.

T.L. Swan also is the queen of giving me heart attacks with this series so far because she takes the 3rd act break up to the NEXT LEVEL. Why am I screaming and shouting with 80 pages left to go. In any other book thats when the 2 are making up to each other and reconnecting but not Mrs. Swan. She should coin the phrase "always expect the unexpected"
