The way this one dealt with a world without Death, and how Death copes with mortality, was the more interesting parts about this book. It had some great lines and humour, the storylines were interesting (though I much preferred the sections following Death/Bill Door) and it was oddly poignant at times.
Once again, a very funny, wittily written story about Death, with a really fun premise of a Death-less world. Love getting more time with Death, getting to understand more of his character and his 'humanity'. This did go on slightly longer than it needed to but I really didn't mind getting a few extra jokes and charming moments of Pratchett's world.
Reaper Man was truly incredible to read.
Truly it makes the way most people view life and death feel archaic. This books gives both a hilarious and heartwarming twist on the idea of what comes after. Other than laughing myself hoarse, I found myself thinking a lot about just how powerful and liberating the thought of the after being what you made it.
Huge props for the not-so-subtle criticism on commercialism. I loved the wit behind the idea of not quite monsters but close enough. There were plenty of good messages throughout the layers of satire.
Be prepared for the ending to leave you feeling a little heavy. Enjoy your journey in the Disc!
