Well, this is the first Discworld book I've been a bit dissapointed in.
It is not the worst I've read, that being The Colour of Magic, finding its ground. I also really liked a lot of little things and Death's storyline for the most part. Also TP's writing style and ingenuity always shines through.
However, the other story did not interest me at all. Some of the characters were good, others were decent, some weren't as great. The storyline had me intrigued to start with but unravelled into something confusing, boring, peculiar (in a way I didn't like), and basically completely disconnected from Death's plot. It felt like two books in one, and that dichotomy brought this down a lot for me - especially as I disliked one side and liked the other.
Okay - 6/10

This is another fantastic work of Pratchett. It contains the more poignant themes of what it means to be human and alive but it still contains several well placed jokes and humorous scenes. I’m currently reading my way through the Discworld and I think this is my favorite one so far and is one of my top 5 favorite books of all time.
